tyro

beginner; person lacking experience in a specific endeavor

On a warm summer day, a boy and a stranger stood in a museum, peering into a work of art.

The boy named Tyrone reached out a hand to shake the stranger in greeting. "Hi, I'm Tyrone," he stated somewhat awkwardly.

The stranger, dressed like a blended faupaux of nautical animal prints, smirked and replied, "You're what?" And ignored the hand.

"I'm Tyrone."

"Oh, a tyro."

Tyrone's brows curved in, confused and slightly irritated.

As quickly as the interaction began, the animal sailor dramatically turned his back on Tyrone to walk away, as he mumbled, "A tyro you are...damn, you people these days are tyros at the art of silence in museums. Ridiculous!" With that, he left the room.

Ok, don't ask me where that came from. I have no idea...I just started writing and and had to make up something before my computer shuts down any minute now.
